Lionheart Connect is our telehealth access program — offering three ways to participate in the same high-quality treatment. Use your own device, or we’ll provide one. Come to our office, join from home, or do both. The care is the same either way.

Attend every session from home using your own device — or a Lionheart Connect tablet if you need one. One tap connects you directly to your group or appointment.

Continuity of Care

When life gets in the way — travel, illness, a mental health day — clients can join their regular group remotely rather than miss a session. We send a tablet and they join the in-room group via our Owl camera system, staying connected to their peers and their treatment without losing momentum.

Clients who lack a reliable device receive a pre-configured tablet with one-tap access to Zoom, the client portal, recovery resources, and direct staff support. Loaned for the duration of treatment.

Our Hastings group room is purpose-built for hybrid sessions. Remote and in-person participants share the same experience — no one is a second-class participant because they joined from home.

Multiple cameras capture the entire room simultaneously. Remote participants see every in-room member and who's speaking — not a single static wide shot.

A dedicated camera streams the whiteboard in real time. Skills work, psychoeducation, and group exercises are fully visible to every remote participant.

360° microphone pickup means remote participants hear every in-room voice clearly — and everyone in the room hears remote participants through the room speakers.

Who is eligible

Clients enrolled in Lionheart outpatient services who face transportation, technology, or access barriers to consistent participation in treatment.

Court-ordered and probation clients

Remote participation through Lionheart Connect can be tracked and verified. Contact us to discuss documentation and verification procedures for your jurisdiction.

What your clients receive

A device (if needed), a Zoom link, and the same full clinical program — IOP, OP, individual counseling, peer support, and coordination. The program is the same regardless of access path.

Security and compliance

All sessions are HIPAA-compliant and encrypted. Provided tablets are remotely managed and secured. Remote participation meets the same clinical standards as in-person.

Yes — you'll need Wi-Fi to join sessions. This can be your home network, a family member's, your sober house, or any If Wi-Fi access is a barrier, let your counselor know and we'll help identify options.
Yes. Lionheart Connect supports both BYOD (bring your own device) and provided tablets. If you have a reliable smartphone, tablet, or computer, you can join every session via a simple Zoom link. The provided tablet is the solution for clients who don't have a reliable device — not a requirement for everyone.
A hybrid group is when some participants attend in-person at our Hastings office while others join from home — all in the same session at the same time. Our group room is purpose-equipped so remote participants see the full group and whiteboard in real time, and the group can see and hear remote participants clearly. The clinical experience is equivalent whether you're in the room or at home.
Yes. Our group room includes a dedicated camera that captures the whiteboard in real time and streams it to remote participants. Any skills work, diagrams, or group content written on the board is fully visible on your device during hybrid sessions.

The tablet is provided by Lionheart as part of the Lionheart Connect program at no separate charge to you. Your treatment services bill through insurance as normal. Most major insurers and Medicaid cover outpatient SUD treatment — contact us to verify your specific coverage.
We'll ask you to return the tablet. It comes with prepaid return packaging — seal the box, attach the label, and drop it at any UPS location. There's no cost to you for the return.
Research consistently shows telehealth SUD treatment produces outcomes comparable to in-person care, including similar treatment retention and client satisfaction. For many clients, the ability to participate consistently — without transportation as a barrier — actually improves outcomes by reducing missed sessions. Lionheart Connect's hybrid group room goes further than standard telehealth, giving remote participants equal access to in-room clinical content.
