IOP with Lodging — Treatment First, Housing as Support

Safe, structured sober living combined with Intensive Outpatient Programming, Peer Recovery Support, and provided transportation. Everything in one place — because nothing should stand between someone and their recovery.

New Program

Lionheart Treatment Housing is newly launched. We are actively enrolling — contact us to discuss availability and eligibility for a specific client.

IOP with Lodging — treatment first, housing as support

Housing instability is one of the most common reasons clients can't maintain consistent treatment participation. Our IOP with Lodging program addresses that directly — providing safe, structured sober housing as a support for recovery, so clients can focus entirely on their treatment.

The housing component is support infrastructure, not the program itself. Clients are enrolled in our full Intensive Outpatient Program (ASAM 2.1), supported by a Peer Recovery Specialist, and provided transportation to appointments. Everything works together around the clinical treatment at the center.

IOP with Lodging — FAQs

How is the housing component paid for?

We help clients apply for Housing Support through their county. This is a state-funded program that covers room and board for individuals in treatment, and most clients qualify. Our team walks you through the application process — you don’t have to figure it out on your own. Call us to discuss your specific situation.

How is the treatment (IOP) paid for?

The IOP portion is billed through insurance like any other outpatient treatment. We accept Medical Assistance (MA), MinnesotaCare, most commercial insurance plans, and county funding. We verify coverage before enrollment so there are no surprises.

How long can a client stay in the lodging?

Length of stay is determined by clinical progress and Housing Support eligibility. There is no fixed end date — clients remain in the program as long as they are actively engaged in treatment and the arrangement is clinically appropriate.

Is this program available for referral partners to place clients into?

Yes. Probation officers, county case managers, and residential treatment programs looking for a step-down option with housing support should call us directly at 651-456-8411 to discuss a specific client. We can move quickly when the situation requires it.
